M + A's Wedding in Yosemite

Friday, Welcome BBQ: We were coming from the bay to Evergreen Lodge and the drive was not bad at all (3.5 hours). I spent the morning packing, K got a haircut, and we were on the road by 11:30. We got lunch on the road and checked in by 3. We had a few hours to catch up with the family before the welcome dinner at 6! Dinner was great. I was introduced to distant relatives and met A and M's friends. We played Jenga and caught up on what was going on in our lives. At 10 pm we moved to the tavern for Pool and Uno. The stars were my favorite thing this night. Unfortunately, I didn't take any photos from the bbq.

Saturday, Morning Hike + Wedding Vibes: We slept in and woke up around 10. We checked in with everyone else and rounded up a little group of 4 for a hike to Hetch Hetchy Reservoir. It was an extremely scenic hike and I loved every second of it. I just had wished we had started it sooner than we did (11:30 am). We were 10 min from the falls at 1:15 when we had to turn back or miss the wedding ceremony at 4. We got down from the hike in 45 minutes and was back at the lodge by 2:30. We managed to all shower and be ready for the wedding in time!

The wedding was a woodsy wonderland and it couldn't have been any better. I Loved the bride's dress, the scenic location, the flowers, the people, the speeches, and that we were all staying at the same location so it was all pretty convenient. I Didn't Love the chairs, the mosquitos, k's allergies, and the band.

Sunday, Goodbye Breakfast + Pool Time: We woke up at 8:30 for the Goodbye breakfast, packed, and headed to the pool for our last hour of the lodge. It was a saltwater pool/hot tub and exactly what we needed after a long adventure filled weekend. We checked out at noon and were home in time for dinner.
