Boston Day 2 to 4
We were so hung over.... and it felt like we only got an hour of sleep.
We quickly packed up our things and made our way to the new hotel. The hotel that Kevin's job is putting us up in is absolutely beautiful, The Godfrey Hotel in Boston. We unpacked and pulled ourselves together. Went to the Paramount for breakfast and had a quiet breakfast picnic in the Boston Common park. Kevin had the fresh caramel & banana french toast with a side of bacon and I got the avocado, egg & cheese sandwich.
The park was picturesque and buzzing with activity on a Sunday afternoon. After breakfast, we made our way to the New England Aquarium. It was an especially hot day outside so we were glad to be in a penguin habitat. It was great seeing and learning about the different sea life.
By the time we got out, the sun was still high in the sky. The aquarium was a 20 minute walk from the hotel so we thought the walk would be a good way to see the city. It was a great walk through Boston's financial district.
For dinner we made our way back to the north end and put our name down for Neptune Oyster's. It was going to be a two hour wait so we walked over to the Boston Public Market to do some souvenir/gift shopping and laid out in the North End Park. Dinner was amazing! I was happy to wait for our meal.
For the rest of the trip I slept in, went shopping, hung out, and met Kevin in the park for lunch for the next two days. It was the R & R I needed.
