Day 7 - My Birthday

This morning I woke up to breakfast in bed and a pretty great foot massage all done by Kevin. I had asked Kevin to plan the day for us and he really didn't plan much to be honest. We didn't leave the hotel until noon and I felt like a good portion of the day had been wasted. We went to a poorly rated restaurant for lunch, Serendipity. I still didn't have cake and a girl should always get cake especially on her birthday.

At this point I was so frustrated that I was actually crying in public. We were by Central Park and I asked Kevin to leave because more than anything I just wanted to be alone with my thoughts. I found a quiet little spot. You could hear a jazz player in the distance and I just watched as the dogs frolicked and the people passed by. I soon felt very content with life.

I checked my phone and I was flooded with well wishes and reminded of how much I am loved by the people I cherish most. I know Kevin loves me. God I know how much he loves me. I just want more from him and it bothers me that he is content with mediocrity... It's something we will have to work on together if this is going to work....

Kevin finds me an hour later via find my friends and he has brought me back delicious Greek food from a highly rated food truck. (The food truck is called Tony's dragon grille and I highly recommend it) I barely touched my soggy, cold lunch from serendipity and I was pretty hungry. So he definitely gets it right from time to time. All I want is delicious noms. We got a combo shrimp and salmon plate. Yummmmmmm

We go home and take a nap and eat the Greek leftovers before we meet up with Scotty at decibel for sake. It's a hole in the wall sake bar and it is quite the experience. We are jam packed into this tiny basement and it is a pretty trendy place. Scotty forgot his id and was able to use a photo of his id to get in. He then took us to his super cute apartment in the lower east side. I want to live in his apartment. It is absolutely adorable. I hadn't seen Scotty in years and it was great catching up and learning the ins and outs of New York living. Next we head over to a dive bar, 169. Here we see Andrej Pejić, an Australian trans model and she is absolutely stunning.

We grab some late night pizza and head home. I'd say it was a pretty successful birthday.
