Day 6 - Yankees & Broadway

We took our time starting today since it has been a pretty long few days. We made all our meals in our room today. So saved a lot of money there.

Kevin and I arrived at the Yankee stadium around noon and it was a great ball field but I mean I still think AT&T stadium in San Francisco is much better. We got to see their museum, monument park, and went all the way down to the dugout. This weekend they are retiring Derek Jeter's #2 so there will be a big thing for that. The security were running drills on how they were going to catch the runners. It was interesting to watch.

We decided to go to the Natural History Museum by Central Park after. I just really wanted to see the dinosaurs. We left shortly after we arrived. I was pretty exhausted. We stopped at the grocery store to pick up a few things for dinner. We made salmon alfredo pasta in our room and it was pretty good.

Next was Anastasia on Broadway. We arrived at the Broadhurst Theatre and there was a line around the block. It moved pretty quickly and we were soon in our seats. We had an amazing view of the stage until the show started and the tallest guy in the world sat in front of me. I had to lean into Kevin to watch the first half. At intermission we switched seats so I could clearly see the second half and he had to lean into me to watch. It was unfortunate but the play was amazing. More historical than the Disney version I am use to from years of watching it as a kid.

As we walked home I started thinking about cake and how I really wanted some and how tomorrow is my birthday and then I started crying. I always seem to cry at some point on my birthday. Still not completely sure why but maybe I'll grow out of it at some point.... Other then that it was a pretty great day.
